Vmemoo Memory Quest
Privacy Policy
Memory Quest is a browser game in the Vmemoo ecosystem. This policy describes exactly what the game uses, and nothing it does not.
Pending Vmemoo confirmation: this document is complete on substance but still needs the official Vmemoo operator legal name, company registration reference, support email address, privacy request email address, governing law statement before public launch. Until then, contact Vmemoo through the support channels published in the Vmemoo mobile app.
1. What Memory Quest is
Vmemoo Memory Quest is a free browser game of 200 memory, observation, logic, language, number and pattern levels. It is part of the Vmemoo ecosystem and is not a separate company. It is not the Vmemoo mobile app, and it does not read anything from your Vmemoo account.
2. Who is responsible
Memory Quest is operated by Vmemoo, registered at 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin D02 XE80, Ireland, as part of the Vmemoo ecosystem. The registered operator name, registration reference and the contact addresses used for privacy requests are the same ones published in the Vmemoo legal framework and are shown on the Support page once confirmed for this game.
3. Playing as a guest
You can play without any account. In guest play:
- Your browser stores a random guest identifier, your local progress and, if you opened a shared challenge link, that link's code. These are stored on your device only.
- The server stores each play session (level, a randomly generated challenge setup, your answers, score, accuracy, timing) linked to a one-way hash of your guest identifier, never to a name or email.
- Guest play produces provisional Stars only. Nothing is credited until you save a profile.
4. Saving a profile with Google
To keep your progress and Stars, you sign in with Google. Google confirms your identity to our backend, which creates a player record. From Google we receive your account identifier, email address and, where provided, your name and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, or anything else in your Google account.
5. What we store when you have a profile
- Player profile: display name, optional avatar, progression title, sound and privacy preferences, and two identifiers — an internal account identifier and a separate opaque public identifier used for anything visible to other players.
- Gameplay: play sessions, challenge setup identifiers, per-round answers and response times, completed levels, best scores, best accuracy, attempt counts, achievements, day streaks and Daily Challenge results.
- Rewards: Eligible Stars entitlement records, including the level they came from, amounts, status and the keys that stop a reward being issued twice.
- Vmemoo linking and transfers: once linking is available, a record that your Memory Quest player is linked to a Vmemoo account, a masked account label, and records of Stars transfer attempts and their outcome.
- Social: Questie relationships, Play Together invitations and their status, blocks, and share/referral attribution records.
- Security: events recorded when a play session or reward claim fails validation, used for fraud prevention. These are never readable by players.
We do not ask for or store your date of birth, precise age, address, phone number, payment details or location.
6. Why we use it
To run the game you asked for (levels, unlocks, scores, Daily Challenge), to keep your progress across devices, to calculate and protect rewards correctly, to operate the Global Scoreboard and My Questies where you take part, to prevent cheating and reward abuse, and to keep the service secure and working.
7. What other players can see
If you take part in the Global Scoreboard or My Questies, other players can see your display name, avatar if you set one, progression title, highest level, total score, accuracy, day streak, achievement count and rank — identified by your opaque public identifier.
They can never see your email address, your Google identifier, your internal account identifier, your Eligible Stars balance, your Vmemoo wallet, your transfer history, your age or your location. Memory Quest has no messaging.
8. Daily Challenge
The Daily Challenge stores one result per player per day (score, correct answers, time) and up to 3 Eligible Stars for that day. It is kept separate from your Journey and is excluded from the weekly scoreboard.
9. Shared challenges and referrals
Sharing a challenge creates a link containing a random code. If someone opens it and later saves a profile, we record that the two players are connected through that link, so an invitation can be attributed correctly. Opening a link never creates a Questie relationship on its own — that always needs an invitation and an acceptance.
10. Eligible Stars and Vmemoo
Eligible Stars are gameplay reward records held by Memory Quest — a Welcome Reward of 25 Stars, first-completion Journey rewards totalling at most 4,325 Stars across all 200 levels, and Daily Challenge rewards. The maximum Memory Quest can ever issue for the Welcome Reward plus the full Journey is 4,350 Stars. They are not money, and they are not the authoritative Vmemoo Stars wallet. Details are in the Terms & Game Rules. When Vmemoo transfer becomes available, transferring sends the reward records and your linked account reference to Vmemoo so Vmemoo can validate and credit your wallet.
11. Browser storage and cookies
Memory Quest sets no advertising or analytics cookies and contains no trackers, pixels or advertising technology. Your browser stores only what the game needs to work:
- Guest identifier — so guest play can be attached to your profile later.
- Local progress — so the game still shows your place after a refresh.
- Shared challenge code — only if you opened a challenge link; removed when you dismiss the prompt.
- Sign-in session — created by our authentication provider when you sign in with Google, so you stay signed in.
All of these are strictly necessary for the game and sign-in you requested, so Memory Quest does not show a cookie consent banner. If optional analytics or marketing technology is ever added, consent controls will be added with it and it will not load before you agree.
12. Analytics
Memory Quest contains no third-party analytics service. Gameplay events are raised inside your own browser only and are not sent to an analytics provider. Product analytics is therefore not currently collected.
13. Service providers
Running the game means a small number of providers necessarily process information for us:
- Backend and database provider — stores your profile, gameplay, reward and security records, and manages sign-in sessions.
- Hosting/content delivery provider — serves the game; like any web server it processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages.
- Google — authenticates you when you choose to save a profile, and serves the two web fonts the game uses, which means your browser contacts Google to load them.
- Vmemoo — receives your reward records and linked account reference when you choose to transfer Stars, once that connection is live.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.
14. International processing
These providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where that happens, it relies on the safeguards in their standard data protection terms.
15. How long it is kept
- Guest play records are kept while they may still be claimed by an account and are not tied to your identity.
- Profile, progression, achievements, streak and reward records are kept while your player account exists — deliberately, because your progress and earned Stars must never be lost.
- Reward entitlement, transfer and security/anti-fraud records are kept longer for reward integrity, fraud prevention and accounting, and are kept without your identity where they no longer need it.
16. Deleting your account
You can delete your Memory Quest player account yourself on the Account & data page. Deletion is explicit and confirmed, and cannot be undone. It removes your profile, progression, achievements, streak, Daily Challenge results, Questie relationships, invitations, blocks and the links you shared, and removes your sign-in identity. Reward, gameplay and security records are kept without your player identity, and Vmemoo linking and transfer records are kept as financial and anti-fraud records. Deleting your Memory Quest account does not delete your Vmemoo account.
17. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to receive a copy of it. The Account & data page shows what is held about your player and lets you delete it. For anything further, use the Support page.
18. Security
Rewards, progress and level unlocks are decided by the server, not by your browser. Sign-in sessions are validated on every protected request, shared links use random codes stored only as one-way hashes, anything shown publicly uses an opaque identifier rather than your account identifier, and invalid attempts are logged for fraud prevention. No service can promise perfect security, but reward and account records are protected as a priority.
19. Children
Memory Quest is designed for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly create player accounts for children below the age required in your country to use an online service of this kind.
20. Notifications
Memory Quest does not send browser push notifications and never asks for notification permission. The Vmemoo mobile app remains the place where notifications are handled.
21. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will be highlighted in the game.
22. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the routes on the Support page.
